You do not have to travel all day to the Sahara to ride a camel. An official camel designated trail exists in the High Atlas Mountains, just one hour from Marrakech, where you will be able to enjoy a 2-hour ride from Moulay Brahim to old Asni. On the ride, you will pass Berber villages and always with a backdrop of the High Atlas peaks.

After the morning ride, you will continue your day driving deeper into the Atlas to enjoy a traditional lunch in the Imlil Valley. Here you will learn how more about Berber culture and have the option of a guided walk in the valley before returning to Marrakech.

Atlas Valley Camel Trek

A professional driver picks you up from your Marrakech hotel shortly before 9 am for the 1-hour drive to the small town of Asni, surrounded by fertile farmland and known for its lively weekly market held every Saturday. Enjoy bucolic scenery along the way as you wind through the Berber countryside, passing picturesque villages, citrus orchards, and rose gardens.
